BVA – Your Association, Your Say and a Prize Draw Too

05 June 2007

The BVA is currently seeking views on its membership package and over the next month (Friday 15 June to Monday 16 July) will ask members for their opinions in order to inform its future direction. Views will be sought on a number of key issues, including the challenges faced within professional life and the value members place on the services received through their membership package.

According to BVA President David Catlow: “This easy to complete online survey provides members with a chance to really make a difference to their Association. Their input is vital if we are to ensure that our membership package reflects their needs. I very much hope that members will take the time to complete the survey, which can be accessed via the members' section of the BVA website at With the information provided we in turn will act to improve the services that we provide.”

As an added incentive there is free entry to a prize draw for £200 of gift vouchers for anyone prepared to tell BVA what they need and value from their BVA membership. As David points out: “We've asked Allman Horrocks Consulting to conduct this survey on our behalf to ensure that it is independent and secure - so please be open and honest with your views. While we will not see individual attributable responses, we can only progress with our members' help. Your opinions are really important to us.”

Student members do not, however, need to take part. They will be the subject of further specific research later in the year while a sample of non-members will be invited to take part in a specially tailored telephone survey in the near future.
